HOW HAS MY STRUGGLE TO BE PART OF THE ASCENT STRENGTHENED ME AS A PERSON AND A WRITER?
Life is full of challenges with high and low moments, which leads many to give up their dreams, but knowing that any challenge regardless of its size it can be overcome, really gives us courage, determination, and confidence to achieve our goals, the pleasure of winning each challenge is then great because by winning each challenge we become people stronger and wiser.
Since August 2019 I have been writing content, both for blogging and the medium, I have come to say that writing has been a new world without limits for me because through it I can express my feelings and emotions.
The medium is a space where writer and readers can write and read stories about various subjects, for lovers of reading and writing it is a wonderful space because the texts are clean and without ads, as a writer of the medium I would be too ignorant if I did not see how to make money with my texts and generate an extra income at this moment so dark that the world goes through.
Tell me, my friend, who among us would not like to have financial stability? To have not only an income but to be paid for what the person to Dora does? surely we would all have the greatest pleasure in having such a source, the medium may not give us access to much information as you can also earn a lot of money with our texts.
How could I earn money with my texts, since I am a new writer and without a faithful audience I still define? Then I turned my attention to one of the medium’s strongest publications The Ascent, I wondered why not be a contributor to The Ascent?
But what is the Ascent?
The Ascent is “a community of storytellers who document the journey:
To happiness and fulfillment”. Basically, we are here to help inspire and educate others to have a better life, whatever their individual goals.
We believe in authentic and personal narratives. The best performing stories
For us, they are rooted in the first-hand experience and full of value, in the form of personal lessons and profound lessons for the final reader.
You have certainly heard the phrase:
- If you want to be great, join the great ones,
- You can’t fly like eagles having chicken feathers
- The impossible is not a fact she is just an opinion
I particularly like the phrase if you want to be great you have to join the great ones, these have been one of the reasons why I have followed the ascent, it in my humble opinion is one of the great publications in the medium.
The ascent, just like the medium himself, values stories with quality, stories that can move people towards fulfillment and happiness, being ready to overcome any challenges they may face.
That is why I am writing this story based on my personal experience that although all my stories are not published in the ascent I do not give up on my dreams of joining the great ascent.
I know that today, tomorrow, or shortly my story will be the proven one in this great publication.
Below I will share with the dear readers the qualities that I have developed with the rejection of my stories by the ascent:
- Resilience
What separates success from failure is the ability of visionaries to stand up not once or twice, but several times if necessary to achieve their goals.
Don’t forget that your dreams are the most sacred things that exist, because they give meaning to your life.
So remember the following:
Great men play great games.
Avoid herd behavior, do what everyone else does, and give up at the first difficulty.
To be great you join the great ones. These phrases have been a great support for the moments when I cannot reach my goals, they conform me.
That’s why I wrote this story dear reader to show you that nothing is easy in this life and that to achieve the goals we have to fight for them, I myself am in this struggle to collaborate with the ascent, to send another story based on my personal experience.
2. Humility
Humility one of the most beautiful qualities of humans, perhaps you ask FLQ what is the relationship between humility and being a collaborator the ascent?
Because I tell you to have my publications rejected, they allowed me to see how new I am in this world of a writer, and for me to have access to one of the greatest publications of the medium I have to study so that I can create quality content.
So I started to study content writers like Tim Denning, a highly prestigious writer whose content has already reached millions of people. Drinking from his story building techniques has been wonderful.
With this story, I would like to show all writers and readers that we should not give up our dreams and that in every difficulty there is a hidden opportunity. In my case having stories of my own, not being accepted in the ascent, allowed me to improve my writing skills, develop some qualities, and study writing techniques, based on the knowledge of more experienced readers.
It wasn’t easy to have to compile this story where I debited 1000 more words, it wasn’t easy to organize the content so that it would be encouraging for those who don’t, I could give up but I’m determined to be part of the ascent even if this means having countless stories denied.
Thomas Edson had to fail 1000 times to have the incandescent lamp today. Why should I give up by denying 2 or 3 stories? I can’t refuse to give up.
Life is too short to be small why not take advantage of every challenge and defeat of life as a source of knowledge?
Remind me that the problem, is not the problem itself, but the way you, I face the problem.
I won’t be part of the ascent, I am already part of the ascent.
